Attention Homeowners! Would you like to own your Property "Street File" and Plans?

Property Street Files and Plans

Dear Homeowner,

The City of Miami Springs and the Building & Zoning/Code Compliance Department would like to inform you that in an effort to go paperless, we are in the process of scanning all property files and plans to keep electronically.  The “Street File” which contains information on your property, such as plans, permits, etc. is in the process of being scanned.

We are extending the courtesy to all property owners to be able to collect the street file containing documents and plans for you to keep should you wish. Please note that we are not required to provide these files to property owners. Although you will have the original documents, all documentation in the file with regards to your street address will still be available electronically in the Building & Zoning/Code Compliance Department for access.

Please be advised that only the legal property owner can pick up the street file. The legal property owner must provide their driver's license and be listed on the Property Appraisers website or must provide a Warranty Deed to the Building & Zoning/Code Compliance Department in order to be able to pick up the street file.

Please remember that all documentation in the file will still be available electronically in the Building & Zoning/Code Compliance Department.

Please be advised that this is a large ongoing project and all property owners will have the opportunity to pick up their property files and plans. You may check back via this website or contact the Building & Zoning/Code Compliance Department to see if your files and plans are available.

Attached is a list of addresses in which the property owner may visit the Building & Zoning/Code Compliance Department to pick up their property street file and plans. This file will be available for pick-up for a period of 30 days from July 25, 2016. After September 2, 2016, the original property information will be destroyed.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Building & Zoning/Code Compliance Department at 305-805-5030.
