"The Miami Springs Police Department has had an average  response time of under 2.5 minutes in the first part of 2015.  We have been able to maintain a response time of well under 3 minutes while having one less officer due to a resignation  and experiencing an increase in calls for  service of 738 calls as compared to the first part of 2014. A recent call from one of our concerned citizens regarding a suspicious car and our quick    response time, resulted in   the arrest of 3 individuals that had been responsible for several burglaries in  the eastern portion of the city. This type of assistance from our citizens and the hard work and dedication of our officers is what makes Miami Springs stand out as one of the safest cities in Miami Dade County."     - Miami Springs Chief of Police Armando Guzman
