Westward Dr.Temporary Lane Closures Start Jan. 12th

New Light Poles Are Coming!

The City will begin installation along  the business district of Westward Drive of 34 new decorative light poles with energy-saving LED streetlamps on Monday, January 12th.  Work will start near the Baptist Church, and proceed east towards the circle. Please be advised that during the anticipated two-week installation period, the blocks being retrofitted will experience rolling closures of the parking lane and one travel lane. Westward Drive will remain open with one lane for vehicles.

We realize this will pose temporary inconvenience for residents and businesses.  Every effort will be made to expedite the installations as efficiently and quickly as possible. The end result will be an upgrade for our downtown area, and significant energy savings for the City.  We thank you for your patience and cooperation.
