The City is seeking a contractor to construct the Oakwood Drive and East Drive Stormwater and Roadway Improvement Project (the “Project”).
The Project is intended to provide water quality, stormwater management, roadway and landscape improvements and beautification along the East Drive corridor from NW 36th Street on the south to South Royal Poinciana Boulevard on the north, as well as drainage improvements in Stafford Park and along Oakwood Drive (the “Project Area”). Additionally, the project will accommodate the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists by improving landscape features, roadway geometries (e.g. introducing a roundabout at the intersection of East Drive and Oakwood Drive) as well as improving the stormwater management within the service area identified to reduce flooding in the area and thereby reduce flood impacts to private property and flood-related safety hazards to residents.
