Deputy City Clerk Appointed to Vice President of Miami-Dade County Municipal Clerks Association
Juan Garcia, City of Miami Springs Deputy City Clerk, was recently appointed as Vice President of the Miami-Dade County Municipal Clerks Association.
Miami-Dade County Municipal Clerks Association holds bi-monthly meetings for all Municipal Clerks within the County. Some of the job functions of this organization is to discuss best practices for Municipal Clerks, award scholarships for members, and host clerk trainings.
“Excited to have been selected by my peers in this association. It is a huge honor and I am grateful for the City of Miami Springs for allowing me to continue to grow”- Juan Garcia.
As Vice President, Mr. Garcia will coordinate guest speakers for their bi-monthly meetings, help select scholarships for FACC (Florida Association of City Clerks) trainings, and recognize members for their MMC (Master Municipal Clerk) certifications and retirements.
The City of Miami Springs is proud of Juan Garcia’s appointment as he was appointed amongst 34 represented municipalities and the membership within the County by unanimous vote. Mr. Garcia has been a dedicated staff member of the City of Miami Springs City Clerk’s Department since 2015. We thank him for his continued service to the City and wish him luck during his tenure as Vice President of the Miami-Dade County Municipal Clerk’s Association.
