FPL Storm Secure Underground Program Update
At the September 22, 2025 City Council Meeting, representatives from Florida Power & Light (FPL) provided an update on the Storm Secure Underground Program — an initiative aimed at improving reliability by replacing overhead power lines with underground lines in select areas.
Some residents in Miami Springs have signed agreements allowing FPL to use easements on their properties as part of this project.
