It is up to the property owners to secure any debris and place it within their property and not on the swale since these can become dangerous projectiles. Property owners are also responsible for having their contractors secure any construction equipment and materials that are located on their property.
Put up shutters TODAY. Secure all lose items in your yard. Do not trim trees or vegetation now-The debris will not be picked up and can become harmful if airborne during the storm. Make sure you have any needed medications. If bottled water is not available- fill buckets and bathtubs with tap water. Start making additional ice. Have cash on hand- banks may be closed and ATMs will not work if electricity is out. Call 311 for information.
