Walter Fajet is a life-long Miami Springs resident and an elected official who has served as a member of the City Council since 2020 and his serving out his final term in office as Mayor of the City.

Fajet is a family man and lifelong Springs resident. He attended Springview Elementary, Miami Springs Junior High, and graduated from Miami Springs Senior High School.

An educator whose career has spanned almost 30 years, Walter has:

  • Worked as a Language Arts/Reading teacher and Reading Coach at Miami Springs Senior High School.
  • Former Instructional Supervisor for Language Arts at Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
  • Currently a Middle/High School Principal at AIE Charter School in Miami Springs.

Over the years, residents of the Springs have come to know him through his various involvements and affiliations:

In his youth, he played soccer and little league baseball in Miami Springs. Throughout his formative years, he was a parishioner at Grace Lutheran Church. As an adolescent, he was senior patrol leader of Boy Scout Troop 425. And as an adult, he has been a civic-minded contributor to this community, serving on advisory boards for the city, and giving his time to service as a member of the River Cities Rotary Club.

Walter Fajet is supported by his lovely wife Adriana Fajet and his son. They live with their four rescue dogs: Nacho, Lola, Bella, and Dulce.
