Historic Preservation Guide

Preservation

The City of Miami Springs, formerly known as Country Club Estates, was a “themed” community in terms of the architectural style used in original buildings and structures. The Pueblo Revival style of architecture, developed in the Southwest using elements of Pueblo architecture, was chosen as the “theme” for Miami Springs; however, you will also find Mission style architecture among the historic buildings in Miami Springs.

Historic Preservation is critical to help communities maintain a higher quality of life by preserving its cultural heritage and resources for future generations. It helps establish a context for future development and encourages building practices that keep our history alive through new additions.
