The Patrol Division serves as the backbone of the Miami Springs Police Department, providing 24-hour public safety services 365 days a year. Our dedicated officers are committed to protecting the residents, businesses, and visitors of Miami Springs through proactive policing, rapid response, and community engagement.
Patrol operations are staffed by multiple squads, each supervised by a sergeant. Patrol officers respond to a wide range of calls for service, including emergencies, crimes in progress, traffic incidents, suspicious activity, burglar alarms, and other requests for assistance. In many situations, patrol officers are the first to arrive on scene, quickly assessing the situation and coordinating additional resources when necessary.
To ensure efficient service, certain non-emergency incidents may be handled by our Public Service Aides, allowing sworn officers to remain available for higher-priority calls.
Beyond responding to calls, patrol officers maintain a visible presence throughout the community, conducting preventative patrols, enforcing traffic laws, addressing quality-of-life concerns, and building positive relationships with residents and business owners. Their daily efforts help deter crime, enhance public safety, and strengthen the partnership between the police department and the community we proudly serve.
