Our dedicated School Crossing Guards play an important role in ensuring children arrive at and depart from school safely each day.
The department employs four School Crossing Guards who are strategically assigned to school zones serving Miami Springs Elementary and Springview Elementary. These trained professionals assist students, parents, and pedestrians in safely crossing busy intersections and roadways during school arrival and dismissal times.
In addition to promoting pedestrian safety, School Crossing Guards serve as extra eyes and ears in our school zones by identifying and reporting traffic concerns, hazardous conditions, and other potential safety issues. Their presence helps create a safer environment for students and provides peace of mind for parents and the community.
