Public Service Aides (PSAs) are valuable civilian members of the Miami Springs Police Department who help provide efficient and responsive service to our community. As non-sworn, unarmed professionals, PSAs support the department by handling a variety of non-criminal and administrative responsibilities, allowing police officers to remain available for emergencies and law enforcement duties.
PSAs assist residents by preparing routine reports, investigating traffic crashes, issuing traffic citations related to accident investigations, and enforcing parking regulations. They do not have arrest powers and are not involved in direct enforcement actions or interactions with criminal suspects.
Through their dedication and professionalism, Public Service Aides play an important role in enhancing customer service, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring community members receive timely assistance when they need it.
