Come to the ribbon cutting for the new Aquatic Center!

Mayor Zavier Garcia and Council Members Bob Best, Billy Bain, Roslyn Buckner and Jaime Petralanda invite the general public to attend the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the new Aquatic Center on Friday evening, July 1st at 6 p.m. A tour of the facility and light refreshments will be offered following the ceremony.

The pool will open for swimming on Saturday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m.

New pool opens for swimming Saturday July 2nd

Bring family and friends, and come "make a splash"  in the pool at the new Aquatic Center! It's open for swimming daily starting Saturday, July 2nd. Summer hours are: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. For resident and non-resident admission fees and rentals, please see the attached sheet.

Come to the parade and fireworks!

Come to our Annual Independence Day Festivities to be held on Monday, July 4th. The day begins with the Parade at 10:00am, immediately followed by activities at the Miami Springs Country Club. Come cool off on the Giant Water Slides, sit & relax out of the sun, while listening to “DJ Frankie” crank out the tunes.

Registration for the Baby Contest will begin at 11:00am in the Country Club; the contest will start promptly at 12:00pm, ages birth to 24 months. Don’t forget! There’s also a category for the “Most Patriotic” baby.

William Alonso

With the impending retirement of sitting City Manager Ron Gorland set for July 31st,  the Miami Springs City Council has named Assistant City Manager/Finance Director William Alonso to the position. Although Alonso’s official start date is August 1st, the transition will be taking place over the next few months to ensure a seamless changeover.
