Public Nuisance Abatement Board

Dear Property Owners:

Due to increased criminal activity in the City, at the August 23, 2021 Council Meeting, the Council passed on second reading Ordinance 1121-2021 which creates Article XVII, "Nuisance Abatement Board" within the City's Code of Ordinances.

This Ordinance establishes a process that details the criminal activity that constitutes a "public nuisance," estabilishes a Nuisance Abatement Board, and sets forth the fines and other noncriminal penalties that can be imposed, including the closure of the building, place, or premises.
