Public Nuisance Abatement Board

The Public Nuisance Abatement Board is a quasi-judicial board with the power to issue orders that mitigate and/or cure effects of a public nuisance within privately owned properties within the City. Board views itself primarily as an educational and appeal body, working with other residents to resolve their compliance issues and providing them with an opportunity for input and explanation of their Public Nuisance complaints. The Board members take a considerable amount of time to explain cases and infractions and work closely with the City Police Department to help ensure the safety of our beautiful City is maintained. This effort helps preserve the quality of life in our community through the enforcement of Miami Springs Ordinances and Florida State Statutes.

Commitment:

  • Further enhance the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents and community.
  • Advises City Council and City Attorney of their recommendations to correct Public Nuisance complaints.
