Miami Springs General Election - April 4, 2017

The City of Miami Springs General Election will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 for the following seats:

• Mayor
• Group 1
• Group 2
• Group 3
• Group 4

According to Miami Springs Charter §3.04 (3 ), the qualifying period for candidates for Mayor or City Council shall be 60 days and the qualifying period shall be closed 45 days prior to the general municipal election.

Based on the above, the first day of qualifying is Monday, December 19, 2016, and the last day of qualifying is Friday , February 17, 2017. All candidates must file their qualifying papers with the City Clerk during this time period.

HOW TO RUN FOR OFFICE:

Candidates may pick up an electronic Candidate packet CD for the 2017 General Election in the Office of the City Clerk, Miami Springs City Hall, 201 Westward Drive, Miami Springs, FL 33166. If you would like a hard copy of the packet, photo copying fees will apply as per our Schedule of Charges.
