Eyes on the Block: Working Together for a Safer Miami Springs
The Miami Springs Police Department invites residents and business owners to become active partners in keeping our community safe by joining the Miami Springs Block Watch Program.
Block Watch is a volunteer-based crime prevention program that brings neighbors together to help reduce crime, increase awareness, and strengthen relationships within the community. By getting to know your neighbors, staying alert, and reporting suspicious activity, you can play an important role in helping keep Miami Springs one of the safest cities in Miami-Dade County.
How Block Watch Works
The program encourages neighbors to:
- Get to know the people who live and work in their neighborhood.
- Learn how to recognize and report suspicious activity.
- Stay informed about local crime trends.
- Practice crime prevention and personal safety strategies.
- Partner with the Miami Springs Police Department to help deter crime.
Through Block Watch, residents become an extra set of eyes and ears for their neighborhood while working alongside law enforcement to improve community safety.
Block Watch Meetings
Block Watch meetings are led by members of the Miami Springs Police Department and provide valuable information on:
- Crime prevention techniques
- Personal safety tips
- Current crime trends
- Neighborhood concerns
- Community resources
Get Involved
Residents and business owners are encouraged to join the Block Watch Program.
To participate:
- Complete a Block Watch application.
- Submit the application to the Community Policing Office at:
101 Apache St.
Miami Springs, FL
or
Email your completed application to CPO [at] MSPD.US (CPO[at]MSPD[dot]US).
Once your application is received, a member of the Community Policing Office will contact you with additional information.
