Officers with prior full-time law enforcement experience may qualify for advanced placement.
- 2–4 years: $69,093 (Step 2)

Public Service Aide (PSA)
The Public Service Aide Program is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Possess a valid Florida driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be committed to pursuing a college degree related to law enforcement or criminal justice
