AFLAC provides optional employee-paid plans to help provide peace of mind and financial security. The City of Miami Springs offers the following plans:

• Short Term Disability- to provide monthly income replacement for injury or illness (includes maternity leave)
• Accident Coverage- 24/7 cash benefits for all covered accidents
• Cancer Coverage- ongoing cash benefits for cancer care
• Critical Care Coverage- ongoing cash benefits for critical care illnesses and ICU. 
• Hospital Coverage- ongoing cash benefits for hospital stays
• Life Insurance- term life policies

 The City will deduct Aflac premiums from employee pay checks for those who wish to enroll in an Aflac plan.

Although employees are permitted to add pre-tax and post-tax Aflac plans during the course of the year, pre-tax plans must generally be dropped during the open enrollment period with narrow exceptions.
