HR Department - About Us

The City of Miami Springs Human Resources Department (HR) provides overall policy direction on citywide human resource management issues and administrative support functions for all City departments. The department is responsible for labor and employee relations, classification and compensation, recruitment and selection, testing and validation, EEO compliance, employee records, organizational development, benefits administration, and strategic planning. The HR Department also manages the City’s insurance contracts and risk management claims.

Because the City of Miami Springs is committed to maintaining a Drug Free Workplace and hiring safe and competent employees, a requirement for new hires to submit to a physical examination and drug screening is a condition of employment as well as a comprehensive criminal background check using local and national databases.
